Sponsored by the ILC, Dor Chadash - LA held its launch event, "Light My Fire," Tuesday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Over 250 Israeli and American young professionals attended the very much anticipated kickoff event and expressed great excitement for the newly established organization. ILC Co-chairs Eli Tene and Danny Alpert attended the event and led the lighting of the Hanukiya along with Consul General Jacob Dayan and other representatives from the Consulate. The event was very successful in leaving a lasting impression on the LA community. Everyone enjoyed a night of dancing, sufganiyot, a dance performance, and socializing. The night was an overall great success and all are awaiting the upcoming Dor Chadash - LA events.

Dor Chadash - LA, is a network of Israeli and American Jewish professionals in Los Angeles who seek to create meaningful connections with Israel and each other through cutting edge programming revolving around educational, cultural and social events tied to Israel. Originally founded in New York in October 2003, Dor Chadash has since its inception created over 200 successful events with over 45 in just 2008 alone, attended by more than 30,000 participants in New York City. What Dor Chadash discovered was an incredible need among professionals, ages 25-45, to connect with Israel in an authentic way. Now with its national expansion into Los Angeles, Dor Chadash - LA, in partnership with the Israeli Leadership Council (ILC), is setting out to replicate the success of the New York model.
